Exhibitions will return to Dubai in the second half of 2020

The official statement by the Director General of the Dubai World Trade Center said that in the second half of 2020, the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) business complex is going to resume work. According to the Director of DWTC, preparations are underway for the resumption of the center and the holding of various exhibitions, conferences, forums and seminars.

But at the same time, maintaining the safety of life and human health, as well as satisfying, in full, the requests of foreign and local visitors and participants, remains an important factor.

It is worth noting that in Dubai, life is returning to normal: the work of private and state companies and institutions is being restored after the quarantine imposed due to the spread of coronavirus infection has been canceled. For example, the work of shopping centers has already been fully restored, hotels and beaches have opened, and national air carriers are gradually restoring their work. The management of the International Trade Center plans to continue the resumption of the business tourism sector, as well as holding exhibitions and congresses for investors and tourists both from abroad and from the UAE.

The leaders of the exhibition business attended the meeting with the leaders of the international center, which was held online, to consider the issues of resuming the work of the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC). The management of the shopping center noted that future exhibition events will be held in strict accordance with the requirements for ensuring public health. Therefore, in the near future new rules and protocols for holding exhibitions will be developed to be presented for discussion by the main participants in the exhibition business.

In October-December 2020, the center’s management plans to hold the following exhibition events: Dubai International Yacht Show, Beauty world Middle East and Automechanika Dubai. It is also planned that in February 2021 the international exhibition Arab Health will be held.

The head of the center said that they are trying to resume the work of the main exhibition site in order to continue the introduction of modern technologies to improve the quality of service for participants and visitors of the World Trade Center.
